Flab to Fab: Cute & affordable gym gear

Let's admit it, your favourite thing about going to the gym is picking your outfit! There's something about having a cute and colourful outfit to increase your confidence while you sweat it out in the gym. It also increases your desire to workout. You want your shoes to match with your shirt and the brighter the colours the better. My problem with this is that you can easily walk in to a sports store and spend hundreds of dollars! If you haven't picked it up already from my blog, I am a fairly frugal person so I have collated a list of places where I find cute workout clothes that don't bust the bank!

Cotton On/Cotton On Body
I'm a massive fan of the Cotton On label so without a doubt I have fallen in love with the Cotton On Body workout gear. With a huge selection of gear available, prices range from as cheap as $5 to around the $50 mark. Compared to the bigger labels such as LuLuLemon and Lorna Jane, this is only a fraction of the price.

Another point, Cotton On Body are constantly having sales so if you aren't too happy with a price of an item you can always wait a couple of months and it will probably be on sale!

Shorts available at Cotton On Body

If you're a fan of the Nike Pro shorts, Cotton On have a perfect replica named the Down Under Shortie. The material is very similar to the spandex material and the length is almost identical! If you're thinking of purchasing a pair of Nike Pro shorts, perhaps check these ones out first to see if you like them.

Rubi Shoes
Being a sister store of Cotton On and Cotton On Body, there was no question I wasn't going to have this store on this list! Rubi offers an array of bright and colourful runners that are comfortable and supportive. Of course, they aren't going to last as long as perhaps a pair of Nike Free Runs, however they can get a decent amount of wear out of them and look so cute. Again, super affordable prices for shoes.

Kmart
Within the past year or so, Kmart has really step up their workout game. The cheapest of the bunch, Kmart has a huge selection of workout clothes from compression leggings, vests, crop tops and basic tees. They also have a variety of low priced gym equipment for those who prefer at home workouts.

ONE Active by Michelle Bridges
Gym guru, Michelle Bridges has released her own workout line at Big W. Around the same pricing as Cotton On Body, the quality is amazing and super breathable- perfect for those who sweat it out during cardio! I own many pieces from her line and I am a big fan.

Direct Factory Outlets (DFO)
If you're still a sucker for labels but refuse to pay for full price items, DFO is the place to go! Brands such as Adidas, Nike and Reebok all have various factory outlets around Australia. Although the discounted clothing may be old seasons stock, gym clothes usually tend to stay on trend for years.
